Permit Applications

Building and operating the new GridLink interconnector requires a number of permissions, authorisations and licenses (together known as “permits”) from regulatory authorities in the UK and France.

To assist our stakeholders, the main permits required and links to the applications we have made to date are summarised below.

Our applications

All applications for permits will be submitted in accordance with applicable national laws and regulations. The applications for the main development consents and approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment are expected to be submitted in Spring 2020.
