Prior Consultation in France

Public consultations are a key part of our commitment to engaging positively with all stakeholders throughout the development, construction and operation of the GridLink project in France. We welcome the contributions from the public consultations, and intend to take all comments and recommendations into account in our planning, design and implementation of the GridLink project.
Preliminary consultation

The preliminary consultation is an important first step in the French public consultation process and proved extremely valuable. The consultation generated input from various interested parties on the initial design and planning of the GridLink project. It also identified key issues to be considered in the future development activities and the environmental impact assessment.

The preliminary consultation took place from 27 November 2017 to 12 January 2018. A report was produced by the guarantor and then approved by CNDP on 7 February 2018. In accordance with the regulations, GridLink has developed its public consultation programme taking into account the recommendations from the guarantor’s report on the preliminary consultation.

Next steps

GridLink is implementing a public consultation programme taking into account the outcome of the preliminary consultation. We look forward to receiving further valuable input from stakeholders.
